Canada has a wealth of talented scientists, many
of whom have achieved world-wide acclaim for their innovations. Yet many
innovations end where they started - in laboratories. Foragen was created
to help commercialize early-stage, advanced agricultural technologies from
Canadian sources. Our mandate is to support the creation of companies by
providing:
- seed capital;
- business and technology management expertise; and
- networking opportunities.
With this support, founders can focus on the development
of their technologies.
Our plan is to bring selected companies to the point
where they can attract traditional sources of financing and become viable
Canadian businesses with an international perspective.
