FORAGEN CONTINUES TO SOURCE SOLID TECHNOLOGIES - INVESTS IN ANIGENICS

Foragen put together a syndicated investment for AniGenics in the amount of 2 million dollars. AniGenics is striving to discover and commercialize technologies that produce superior food animals, meat and animal health products.

AniGenics has also entered into licensing agreements with the University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin and USDA Meat Animal Research Centre. Although AniGenics is a U.S. based company, it recognizes the excellent research base in animal genomics in Canada. It is presently having discussions with several animal genomic centers in Canada.

Foragen to date has made investments in various agricultural technologies for a total commitment of 8 million dollars. Foragen Technologies Management Inc. manages the 42 million dollar fund of Foragen Technologies Limited Partnerships.
