Dr. Murray McLaughlin, President & CEO of Foragen wins National Award
The 7th Annual Ottawa Life Sciences National Conference (OLSC) was held
from December 4th - 6th, 2000 in Ottawa. In conjunction with this conference,
the OLSC presented its 3rd annual Merit Award.
The OLSC National Merit Award is designed to recognize outstanding achievement
in Canada’s Life Sciences sector. The esteemed award, sponsored by Deloitte
and Touche LLP, consistently draws nominations of high-calibre individuals
from life sciences communities across Canada. This year, four candidates
were considered most deserving of the award. The winners of the 2000 OLSC
National Awards are:
Dr. Arthur J. Carty, President, National Research Council of Canada
Dr. Henry Friesen, Past President, Medical Research Council, Chair, Genome Canada
Dr. Alan Bernstein, President, Canadian Institutes of Health Research,Ottawa, Ontario
Dr. Murray McLaughlin, President and CEO, Foragen Technologies Management Inc.
Dr. McLaughlin is pleased to be the recipient of this award, and to
be recognized along with the three distinguished Canadians that have helped
shape the Canadian Life Science Sector.
